Bolaks is the result of a long and proud history that stretches back generations, but the passion for the sea has been the driving force through all our years.

Like their father, the Homefjord brothers were skilled sprat fishermen, and brought with them the knowledge of living off and on the sea, and handling fish in a good way. Their brother Egil Holmefjord later joins the company.
The Holmefjord brothers started out in the infancy of the aquaculture industry, and therefore had to develop the industry in order to develop their business. They harvested wild salmon from the rivers, produced eggs and smolts, built cages and sewed nets.
Sævareid currently produces smolt for Bolaks and its other owners, and is an integral part of the Bolaks Group.
The area was a significant investment for the company and is being used for the construction of a smolt hall, slaughterhouse/packing house, hatchery, net pen, cash warehouse and administration premises.
The facility will be Nystølen, which is where Bolaks currently operates broodstock and egg production.
The purpose of the reorganization is to sharpen the skills of the employees in various areas of expertise, such as services, feeding and daily operation of the premises.
Eirene reorganizes its ownership structure and establishes a group of different companies.
